The implementation effort for the Institutional Data Repository has kicked off with phase 0 – building the foundation. This critical first step is a behind the scenes effort to construct the repository container on the Azure Modern Data Platform (MDP). The design and architecture of the repository will ensure that we can consume data from a wide variety of sources, provide the performance and data access to analytics for researching and reporting on institutional data, while meeting all security and access protocols. In the coming months, the iterative process of identifying data sources to bring into the repository and onboarding each will begin. These iterative phases will include experts in those data sets.
