Dan Nugent

Data and Reporting Analyst

Dan Nugent is a data and reporting analyst with the Office of Planning, Assessment, and Institutional Research (OPAIR). Dan transferred to the OPA in July 2018 as part of a reorganization of the official reporting functions. Among Dan’s responsibilities are generating the official enrollment data that are used for reporting to the federal government’s Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS), the Common Data Set, the Penn State Fact Book, and the University’s internal analytics processes.

Dan has a B.S. in Health Policy and Administration from Penn State and has pursued graduate study in Management Science. Dan has been with Penn State for more than 20 years. Prior to joining the OPA, Dan held positions in the University Budget Office and the Computational and Spatial Analysis Core of the Social Science and Population Research Institutes. Dan began his career at Penn State spending 18 years with the Office of Planning and Institutional Assessment (OPIA), the predecessor to the OPA.
