About

Centering Equity in Program Assessment was a half-day Zoom workshop held on October 25, 2023, that provided faculty and assessment leaders with resources that standardize equity as a vital component of program assessment. Keynote speaker, Dr. Natasha Jankowski, higher education and assessment expert and former Executive Director of the National Institute for Learning Outcomes Assessment, shared practical tools for developing and implementing program learning assessment practices that reduce bias while improving transparency.

Members of Penn State’s Equity Pedagogy Network engaged workshop participants in interactive activities to help them explore and apply equitable assessment practices. Co-sponsored by OPAIR, the Schreyer Institute for Teaching Excellence, and the Equity Pedagogy Network, the workshop was free of charge and open to all Penn State employees.
