Frequently Asked Questions

Can I change my email and password in Nuventive?

Nuventive uses the same single sign-on as all Penn State software. You will always use your Access ID and password to enter Nuventive, so there is no reason to change your password in the system.

What do I do if I can’t access my program in Nuventive?

If you have program-level assessment reporting duties and cannot log in to Nuventive or do not see your program in the program drop-down menu in the top center of the screen, contact your Assessment Liaison or OPAIR at (814) 863-8721 or at asssessment@psu.edu

Why don’t I have access to all the menu options I see in the Nuventive Training?

Trainers often have access to items that other users do not. If you don’t have access to a menu option that you require to complete your assigned assessment tasks, contact your Assessment Liaison or OPAIR at (814) 863-8721 or at assessment@psu.edu

Why isn’t my report appearing?

If your browser has a pop-up blocker enabled, your reports will not appear. Disable your pop-up blocker to view reports. See this article about disabling pop-up blockers for assistance.

Can I view the assessment reports of faculty within my program across Penn State’s campuses?

Yes, assessment leaders of academic programs that are offered at multiple Penn State campuses can view assessment information for other locations in Nuventive. Once you have signed into Nuventive, click the program search bar (the white drop-down box at the top of the screen), and select the disciplinary community from the list; for example: “Disciplinary Community – Biology.” Look in the right-side panel to find helpful resources including the Summary Unit Assessment Report and the Summary Unit Personnel Report. Our Summary Unit User Manual has step-by-step instructions for navigating disciplinary communities in Nuventive if you would like to learn more.
